Or white pearl?
Definetly white, black is being "swallowed" by the damascus pattern. Thanks to the previous project, I have 2 perfect pieces of mother of pearl. They are extremely high quality and very expensive.
But before I start to mess with it, little something I need to do. I took a masking tape and covered center holes in the round pieces from the inside:
Then filled them up with black epoxy. I used regular clear 5-min one with a drop of black acrylic ink.
This will prevent light from shining through the mother of pearl when it will be glued in.
Back to work, update hopefully today.
