First - sand them down to the height. Fingers + moving sanding belt = Ouch.



Then with the smallest drill bit from the metal side drill 2 pilot holes for screws:



Then form actual screw holes using 2 bits - for shaft and for screw head.



Then put them on and use pencil to mark the outline.



To finish the day, use sander and elbow grease to bring it to the correct shape.



Bottom one is almost finished, all I have to do is to bevel the edges.
