Brent: bolsters, back circles.
Mar. 10th, 2012 09:29 pmDon't even know where to start, alot happened. First of all, I put the second back piece to the first one and made sure they are the same size.

Used Dremel to take metal out.

Then used sander drums to level the metal where the screw was.

Then I switched my attention to bolsters. I got a shipment of new taps today. Made fresh treads. Cut the hole to the dimension of the outside of the screw, but not to the end so the screw can bite.

That's how it will look from inside and outside:

And the first glimpse on the bolsterd knife:

Tomorrow: I need to find shims and make a profile to the back support, not the spring support, thing. And after this I can shape out the outside knife form.
