Brent: mammoth is going down.

Time for the dead wooly elephant to show it's beauty.

That's how I did it, and I have no idea what I'm doing, as usual. I took a piece of masking tape, sticked it on the knife side pieces and put round and bolster pieces on.



After that I used the surgery knife.. you know that artistic knives? To cut the blue sticky shit out and put it on a piece of a white paper.



Next I cut them off the paper, making sure I marked them left and right pieces.



Next thing was selecting the actual mammoth pieces.



These two will work just fine. What fine? They will be the killaz! Nice texture, fissures etc.
Problem is - I never worked with rough mammoth bark before.

Always the first time.

I put the masking tape around the pieces.



This will serve as a guides for an epoxy so it wouldn't spill out - I need to level/fill the bottoms of the pieces.

Why did I stop? Absolutely right, I have no creme-white epoxy in the household. What an idiot. ;)
