Yesterday I cut the metal out from the blade in the place, where lock handle is going to go.



This is a highly precise operation and must not be rushed. Screw up here and say bye-bye to the blade piece. As you can see, it fit precisely to the pre-designed template.

I used jeweler saw to make a rough cut, then diamond hand files to precisely fit it and regular jeweler steel files to smooth all surfaces out.

Came out like a dream. Next will be fitting the lock handle into it.
